Working successfully with families: Promoting Parental well-being

Working with families supporting a child with disability or chronic health conditions means understanding the emotional landscape parents navigate every day. In this webinar, we’ll explore what it truly means to support the supporters — helping parents maintain their own well-being while caring for their children.

Together, we’ll look at:
  • The complexities of parenting a child with disability or chronic health conditions and how these experiences can influence parents’ emotional and mental health.

  • The experience of siblings who can sometimes feel “lost” in the family system, and practical ways to help parents ensure every child feels seen and valued.

  • The pervasive feeling of “never being enough” and its ripple effects on marriage, relationships, and self-worth.

This session is designed for PBS practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of family systems and enhance their ability to support parents through compassionate, person-centred practice.
