Our mission is to develop your competences to co-produce behaviour interventions. 

PBS Together is committed to improve the quality of services provided by positive behaviour practitioners for children, adolescents and adults of all ages, through online courses, developed using the best practices in online learning, inclusivity design, and in the state-of-the-art Behaviour Science knowledge.

Why PBS Together Matters

PBS Together was born out of the urgent need to raise the standard of behaviour support services across Australia, a concern highlighted by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Recent findings revealed low levels of participant consultation and generally weak behaviour support plans — issues that demand immediate attention.

Our initiative is dedicated to addressing these gaps by empowering behaviour support practitioners and providers with the essential skills and knowledge they need. Through our comprehensive training, PBS Together ensures that behaviour support is not only consistent and effective but also respects participants’ rights, health, and wellbeing.
By fostering stronger connections between practitioners and those they serve, PBS Together is driving better outcomes and a more inclusive, supportive community.

Helder Gusso, PhD.
Head of Educational Technology

Dr. Gusso holds a bachelor's, master's, and PhD in Psychology, with over 17 years of experience training psychologists and behaviour analysts. He is a researcher in Education, with extensive publications on applying Behavioural Sciences to promote meaningful learning experiences. A leader in Behaviour Analysis in Brazil, he continues to supervise theses in the Psychology Postgraduate School at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and coordinates OPERANDA, a scientific education platform. In 2023, after receiving a Global Talent visa for his work in educational technologies, he moved to Australian and became the Head of Educational Technology at PBS Together, where he leads the instructional design of courses and activities.

But mastering this doesn't happen overnight. The making of a proficient practitioner is a process that requires extensive study and experience. There are already various courses available, both in-person and online, offered by educational institutions and private companies for the training of behaviour practitioners. However, a persistent issue when undertaking these courses is noticing how the concepts, principles, and procedures of Behaviour Science and Learning aren't applied in the curriculum development and course design, reducing the courses to mere "content presentation" in video lectures, which often are disconnected from the daily realities faced in the field. Courses whose methodologies are outdated compared to best evidence-based practices.

Aiming to make accessible courses for the training of behaviour practitioners grounded in an effectively evidence-based teaching methodology in the field of behavioural sciences and learning, PBS Together has merged its decades of expertise in the field of behaviour support with an award-winning behavioural instructional design methodology to offer courses that truly aid in developing the fundamental skills for excellent professional practice in the field.

Absolutely! You're welcome to enrol in any available course. Just check out the suggested prerequisites for each course to see if you might benefit from a more introductory course first.

Do the courses have fixed schedules, or can I study at my own pace?

All our courses are designed for you to study at your own pace.

Is there a trial period for the courses?

Yes. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a full refund within 7 days.

What differentiates the courses offered by PBS Together?

Do the courses come with a certificate? How do I obtain it?

Yes. Upon completing a course and passing the final test, which assesses your proficiency in the taught skills, you will receive a personalised certificate of completion.

Are the courses recognised? Do they provide credits towards BCBA or CBA qualifications?

Yes. PBS Together is an institution authorized to offer credits towards BCBAs and CBAs. If you already hold such certifications, our courses can provide credits for your ongoing professional development.

Can I access the courses on mobile devices?

While you can access courses on mobile devices, we recommend using a computer for the best experience, as our courses involve many interactive activities.
